Welcome to the HCCMS Junior Beta Club for the 2012-2013 school year. The scholastic requirement for membership is a cumulative grade point average of 90 and is based on academic course grades from the last semester of the 2012-2013 school term. Invitations are given in August, with the induction ceremony occurring in the spring. The membership fee of $20 includes $15 to join the National Beta Club and $5 to join the HCCMS Beta Club. The HCCMS Junior Beta Club will meet once a month after school
The scholastic requirements for membership will be a cumulative GPA of 90.
The officers to be elected for this club will be president, secretary, and treasurer.
A member must participate in school-sponsored community service project(s) each year to remain in the club.
A member must complete 20 hours of community service each school year to remain in the club.
A student may be dropped from membership for the following reasons:
a. Absence without justifiable reason from two regular meetings per semester
b. Scholastic record falls below a 3.50 average. However, no member will be dropped for scholastic deficiency without being accorded a probationary period of one semester.
c. Failure to serve 6 hours of community service by the mid semester mark in December.
d. For moral or disciplinary reasons.
